Meet Flow2, plus a faster FlowVella and Flow Kiosk

It’s been a busy year behind the scenes. Today I want to share what’s new across the FlowVella family of apps, including a new product we’ve been working on for a while.

Introducing Flow2

Flow2 is a new presentation experience built alongside FlowVella. It’s mobile-first and AI-powered. You describe what you want to communicate, or upload a file, and Flow2 drafts the first version in seconds. Then you shape it from your phone or your desktop.

The output might surprise you.

Flow2 creates portrait, mobile-first, scrolling presentations. Built for the screen most of your audience is actually using.

Flow2 is a different tool for a different moment. FlowVella is the precision tool, the one you reach for when a presentation has to look exactly right on a big screen. Flow Kiosk is the unattended tool, built for flows running 24/7 in retail, museums, lobbies, and trade shows. Flow2 is the tool you reach for when your audience is on mobile, or when you have an idea on your phone and want a real first draft in a minute.

Three products. Three jobs. One company.

What FlowVella (and Flow Kiosk) users get today:

• Sign into flow2.co with your existing FlowVella account. Same login, same subscription.
• Pro and paid FlowVella users get Flow2 access at no extra cost. The only thing metered separately is AI credits. If you exceed your monthly allowance you can top up.
• A new “Create with Flow2” button is rolling out inside FlowVella. One tap and you’re in the Flow2 creation flow.

Your account ties everything together. Flows you create in Flow2 and presentations you create in FlowVella both show up in your My Flows tab on either site. To edit or view, you open them in the app they were created in. Flow2 flows open in the Flow2 editor and viewer. FlowVella presentations open in FlowVella. Two separate experiences for now, with a shared home. Bringing the editors closer together is on the roadmap.

Flow2 is our first AI-native app, built on years of experience shipping FlowVella and Flow Kiosk. We’re considering bringing AI features into FlowVella and Flow Kiosk in the future, but only where it actually makes those apps better. Flow2 was the right place to start because the whole product is built around AI from the ground up.

A faster, more modern FlowVella

We’ve also been investing heavily in the apps you already use. Some of this is invisible plumbing, some of it you’ll feel immediately.

File serving moved to Cloudflare R2. Your flows now serve from edge locations closer to your viewers, with much better caching. In testing we’re seeing meaningfully faster load times for shared flows, especially on the first view. If you’ve ever sent a flow link to a client and watched the loading spinner longer than you wanted, that should be noticeably better now.

Backend modernization across the family. FlowVella on Mac, iPhone, iPad, and the web all now share the same updated backend infrastructure. Flow Kiosk runs on it too. This is the foundation for a lot of what comes next, faster shipping of features across all platforms, more reliable sync, and better long-term stability.

Small improvements everywhere. A lot of small fixes and refinements have shipped across the apps over the last few months. Nothing flashy, but the kind of polish that adds up.

More features are coming across the board.

Why not? We’ve been refining Flow2 in beta for too long. Time to open it up.
